I am currently a 11th grade IBDP student at Oberoi International School (OGC campus) and have been pursuing my ‘Sketch for A Cause’ since almost 2 years ie 9th grade. I have a positive attitude towards life & firmly believe in the principle of: “As you sow, so shall you reap”. Besides academics, I have a diverse set of interests in the area of Art -especially sketching, Performing arts (Storytelling, Speech/Drama), Sports, Coding, Cooking and many more. I have received awards in speech and elocution competitions as well as in various sports competitions. I am an active participant at MUN and received the ‘Best Verbal Mention’ award in the same. I am also an avid reader and it always surprises me when I meet someone who tells me they do not like reading. With so many other things occupying our time – movies, video games and other media – it can be hard to fit in any reading time. However, it’s important to make time for reading. If you don’t read, you miss out on a lot of great benefits !!
It is said, “Each of us is a unique strand in the intricate web of life and here to make a contribution.” Similarly, I like to contribute towards the noble causes of my community & find true happiness by working for the underprivileged children of the society.
Just before the Covid Pandemic, due to unfortunate incident, I had series of back to back fractures of my leg. During those 6 months, being on a wheelchair, wherein my movement got restricted, I felt helpless and empathised with people with disabilities especially children. Post my recovery, during lockdown of Covid Pandemic, I came up with the idea of ‘ Sketch for A Cause’ to utilise my time towards passion of sketching and raise funds to contribute to underprivileged section (medically affected/ children with disabilities) of our society. On the eve of 75 completed years of India’s Independence, I have created “BADGES OUT OF MY SKETCHES”. I honed my skill of sketching idolizing our national leaders and freedom fighters. I conceptualised the idea of making ‘Badges out of my sketches’ & thereby, selling these badges and donating the sale proceeds to a well-known NGO “Desire society” (www.desiresociety.org ), which is actively working as a caregiver to the underprivileged and HIV-affected kids in Mumbai. Since last year, I have engaged myself with this NGO & I feel fortunate that I was able to serve the needy and medically affected kids in my own small way. So my mission is #SketchToDonate. I will sketch and put them on various articles like badges, mugs, keychains et cetera and sell these utility etc. articles to raise funds for the upliftment of these medically affected children. Below are few glimpses of my badges’ and pics. of sharing proceeds with NGO.
Note: Price: Rs.20 per unit. Note: Shipping cost will be extra. We encourage you to buy in bulk quantity to support this noble cause.

Storytelling has been an art. We have grown up listening to stories told by our elders. Sometimes we get so involved in stories that characters of these stories become our friends. I am a voracious reader. I not only love to listen to stories but also like to narrate them. Stories based on mythology are my special area of interests and I love to listen and share them. On behalf of Desire society children, I would like to thank you for contributing towards our children. Also your contribution will help them to learn about the love and dedication towards our nation. Your innovative idea and skill inspires our children and motivates them to think out of the box. Your donation is not solely a charitable contribution but is also an opportunity to watch children to extend their lifespan comfortably. Without this support of people like you, we will not be able to reach our organisation’s mission that is well-being and overall development of children living with HIV/AIDS in India.
